On September 7 & 8, 2012, we will be hosting our second annual Fire & Feast BBQ Competition & Festival in Yazoo City! Fire & Feast will feature three BBQ competitions: a Memphis Barbecue Network (MBN) sanctioned Pro competition, a Backyard Division, and most significantly for you – a Fire House Division!
With the Fire House Division competition, the Yazoo County Convention & Visitors Bureau has created a unique way for fire departments (volunteer and non-volunteer) to showcase their outdoor cooking skills, while also giving them the opportunity to win cash, prizes, and the title of 2012 Mississippi State Fire House Barbecue Champion!
With the expert assistance of Yazoo’s own championship and award-winning professional BBQ cooking team, Ubon’s, and a great prize structure, this event is pulling professional teams from all over the country to Yazoo City. You will have the opportunity to learn tips and tricks of the trade from some of the finest BBQ pit masters ever!
Yazoo City’s Fire Department endorses this event, and will be a huge participant during the weekend. We hope that you will put together a team to represent your community’s fire department. Not only will it be fun, but it will be a great way for you to network and fellowship with your colleagues and friends from other communities.
